Laude

Inspired by Laude, one of the Giant Vapes All-Stars, Coffee Milk is a Rhode Island tradition that was originally created during the Great Depression by steeping used coffee grounds and sugar in whole milk, then straining the results. If you're not familiar with this sweet, delicious New England treat, imagine chocolate milk, but with a light coffee flavor rather than chocolate. It's similar in flavor to coffee ice cream, but with whole milk rather than heavy cream.
